[SOLVED] ROM for RK908 Quad Core RK3188 TV Box MK808-B Android Mini-PC

I bought this android device a few years ago in 2014 for money good enough at the time.

It is small and has all things necessary: You can attach your wireless mouse and keyboard to it, you can attach your USB Webcam to it With this MK908 you get a real powerful android device on your TV that let you browse the web, play game, watch video. But if you are not happy with the default firmware, you can upgrade the firmware with new software (or custom ROM). Android developer Finless has released a lot of custom ROMs designed specifically for the MK908 Android TV stick and Rockchip RK3188 but these unfortunately do not work for the RK908 Quad Core RK3188 TV Box MK808-B, after restore the rom the screen stays black and there no HDMI signal on TV.

After many hours of testing I found a custom rom running very well! NEOMODE HYBRID ROM 1.7 for MK802IV, UG007B, CX-919, MK809III and others with AP6210

How to install? The hardest part is installing the drivers on your PC!  After you have downloaded the zip file, please watch this video to put the Android TV Stick into ROM flash mode. The Driver files are in the folder \NHR_17_20131012\Driver



To install the ROM use the RKAndroidTool.exe software in the folder NHR_17_20131012\RKDevelopTool_v1.37 after you have installed the drivers on your PC,

If the flash tool say "Found RKAndroid MASS Storage USB"  then click "EraseIDB", let it finish and read messages. If there are no error messages you can cluck "Run". It will take several minutes to do it's thing.  Watch for errors! After flash and no errors, the Android Stick will reboot. All done!
